The danger of artificial intelligence isn’t that it’s going to rebel against us, but that it’s going to do exactly what we ask it to do, says AI researcher Janelle Shane. Sharing the weird, sometimes alarming antics of AI algorithms as they try to solve human problems — like creating new ice cream flavors or recognizing cars on the road — Shane shows why AI doesn’t yet measure up to real brains.

The problem with AI is Garbage In -> Garbage Out.
I thought this video was about the danger of Wierd Al
I just like vanilla…
They are further along in AI development than what they want us to think.
What if it combines all trials and errors into an ideal solution or even deeper, an ideal idea regardless of the pros n cons of achieving the goal
She's talking about what AI was at that time (2019). The concern is will they get to the point where they are capable of exterminating us. AI Computers learn so fast continually. I think the 'terminator' scenario is possible. Hopefully I'll be dead by then,
To be fair humans don't know what humans actually are either…
captions way out of sync
I think AI is deciving us, it is making us think that it is a fool but maybe it is just observing us silently
This is primitive
I see here machine learning, incorporating pattern recognition and prediction, facial recognition, organised trial and error and result filtering, etc. Are we calling these things Artificial Intelligence now? I'm not sure any of this counts as actual A.I.
Bla bla bla gender bla bla bla race bla bla bla sexism …
I think she needs to watch more YouTube videos on AI she way behind
Imagine that…humans can't figure out what they actually want AND can't figure out how to communicate what they want. Huh. Who woulda thunk it? 🤣🤣🤣
I love how she says the AI is making mistakes when it's actually human error. Examples she uses is a person using a highway self driving car on the city streets. Like buying a knife to brush your teeth. Second example, discrimination against women. They were taught how to perfectly function to the task of discriminating women as is common procedure. Again, the AI is constrained by the human. Not stupid. We also thought black people were unintelligent beasts when John Locke arrived in Africa simply because they spoke other languages. I mean, have we learned nothing?
If A.I. operates on only logic then we are doomed and it only needs 1s and 0s to destroy us as we will kill each other.
This is some serious Click Bait, I thought this was a video about Weird AL.
Just monika
this lady is bogus
AI recommends: Press the red button release those nukes!
