One of the biggest problems of the contractors and businesses is Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), which submitting any Government Tender.

Now, Ministry of Finance has issued an Office Memorandum on November 12, 2020 according to which no EMD shall be demanded by the Government Departments / / Central Public Sector Undertakings under any Tender.

A Bid Security Declaration may be demanded under Tenders by these Government Departments / Central Public Sector Undertakings.

This facility shall be applicable till 31.12.2021.
