1. i have 2 variables.independent is smoking and gender,i also have to add frequency.is frequency gonna be measured as scale? because the other 2 are nominal

2. Thankyou is not enough. i am grateful.

3. What if I told you that my Pearson r test shows a negative not significant correlation, but my Chi Square test tells me otherwise?

4. This person taught this topic in 5 minutes and I fully understand, versus my 3 hour lecture by a Professor who just left me hella confused! Thank you!

5. Very informative video ma'am. Thank you for sharing knowledge. I have one question though. Do we need to recode the categorical variables into binary coding – 0s and 1s?

6. Urgent question: If the chisquare p value is less than 0.05. Does this also mean that there is a statistically significant differences between male and female in whether they smoke or not?

7. Life saver. Thank you

8. If someone tries to determine if socioeconomic factor's were significant different between thr two set of groups e.g gill net and seine net.

Many thanks!

24. Hello , I have a question please !
If we have primary data, and collected data with some 400 questioners. So do we need to split these questions variables vise. Like some questions for independent variable and some for dependent variable. Are we can run the chi square test on the overall result of the questions. I have a single excel sheet of all my questions with 1 and 2 value of results.

25. Hello, I hope someone can answer me. I just would like to ask when you already established that gender and smoker status have a correlation, how can you establish whether what gender smokes more than the other? Or which gender is more likely to smoke? I am having the same trouble with my own stats and I need to determine this. Thank you for anyone who can answer me.

26. How do u input data into SPSS when you have observed results only, and the data you are given is a mean split for low/high social aggression and low/high for physical aggression with question answered using a 0-5 Likert scale.

27. Why can't you do a two way ANOVA for the same? You mention that you have two IV that are nominal but I've seen plenty of examples where a two-way ANOVA was conducted. Also, I learnt in a class that Chi-Square test should be done where you have a measure of counts.

28. i get what youre saying: smoking status is dependent on gender. But where can u see what gender has an increased risk over the other in the table? Thats the information you want i assume.

29. Hi, which is the alpha value which is mentioned in 3:51 please?

30. Can you pls let me know which statistical books you refer? I heard 2 books but author name was not known to me. It will be helpful if you can share the author and book name so I can purchase it.

31. This is so helpful, thank you for making this.

33. This is glorious, been searching for "learning powerful methods to build your Chi energy" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried – Fellmeroni Rudimentary Chi – (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cousin got excellent success with it.

34. Is it possible to enter data of more than one option in a single cell and analyze in SPSS. (Example: value 1, 4 in a single cell)

40. Thank you so much dear madame

41. If I have the same variable in the same population (qualitative, like smoking habit: 1:yes 2:no 3: ex) and I want to see how it evolves on time (baseline-12 months-24 months) can I use Chi-Square?

42. good tutorial

43. How do you calculate the number of pairs tied on x and tied on y for these variables.

44. You used a 2×2 matrix so you should have reported the p value under Continuity correction according to the SPSS survival manual. Which in this case makes it NOT SIGNFINICANT. Thank you though for the video.
