Choices on a personal level are at a most cute. Recycling your plastic bag whilst driving a SUV, well… As at this COVID- Pandemic, we need strict guidelines from people that know better.
But the climate crisis has been slower. The problem with democracy is that people vote for people who promise nice things. The 1:st world, and those to join (unfortunately many because of population growth) have to let go of nice things to have a chance.
Instead of democracy we would need a dictatorship of scientist or a leadership of Artificial Intelligence, who really know what is best for us on a longer term, than on the usual: me – me – me time frame. To be honest, I am cynical. Having kids these days, hmm ??
