We can all be thankful that the skateway was able to open for at least a short time this year. The weather conditions needed to be just right for the ice to freeze and be safe enough for skating, and we were fortunate to have a few weeks in January and February where the temperatures were consistently below freezing. As a result, we could enjoy a short season of skating on this world-renowned ice rink. It’s certainly a shorter season than most years, but we can look forward to hopefully a longer season in the future!
